SISK PUBLISHED 2030 SUSTAINABILITY ROADMAP SETTING OUT ITS VISION FOR THE NEXT DECADE IN SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION
John Sisk & Son has just published its 2030 Sustainability Roadmap – Building today Caring for tomorrow – which sets out the company’s goals in becoming a greener contractor including a range of environmental targets and social value actions being taken and which will be delivered over the next decade.
The report is attached and also available to download via website here https://www.johnsiskandson.com/what-we-do/sustainability-2
Key targets set in the document:
Sisk will be carbon neutral by 2030 with no need to offset (the company will have carbon neutral status in 2021 by using recognisable offset schemes)
Sisk will plant 1.7m trees by 2029 to coincide with being 170 years old in 2029
Sisk will eliminate the use of single use plastic in all operations by 2023
Sisk will eliminate internal combustion engine powered cars in its fleet by 2030
The Report also contains a number of case studies on some of the great work being done on our projects in working with stakeholders and local communities to create social value.
