WAVIN PUSH-FIT HEP2O BRINGS FLEXIBILITY AND SECURITY TO PLUMBING INSTALLATIONS

Wavin Push-fit Hep2O is a flexible push fit plumbing system developed for potable water and heating applications

Wavin Push-Fit Hep2O enables quick and easy installation with a secure fitting. It is the only push-fit plumbing system with joint recognition, is tamper proof without a HepKey and comes with a 50 year guarantee. There is a secure fit every time with the Wavin’s In4Sure security feature and fittings can be easily adjusted with the HepKey demounting system. It can’t be demounted or disconnected accidently without the HepKey.

Wavin Push-fit Hep2O comes in metric and imperial sizes. Metric in 15mm,22mm and 28mm and Imperial (½”, ¾” and 1”) sizes and are colour coded for ease of identification. Both the metric and imperial have the same ‘lay flat’ pipe technology. The pipe is supplied in straight lengths and coils. and is fully compatible with cooper. Wavin Ireland previously supplied the Acorn push-fit imperial system and Push-Fit Hep2O is the latest generation. The system is highly flexible for fast and easy installation.

It is fully compatible with copper so is ideal for new build and refurbishment projects. A wide range of fittings are available so that Wavin Push-fit Hep2O can accommodate any hot and cold plumbing applications, central heating installations, underfloor heating, cabling through joists and underneath floors and anywhere space is restricted.A unique characteristic of Wavin Push-fit Hep2O pipe coil is its remarkable ability to remain straight once uncoiled, unlike some other plastic materials which act like a spring and makes handling so awkward that two people may well be required to carry out a relatively simple job.

Wavin Push-fit Hep2O pipe is therefore much easier to handle and to cable because of its inherent tendency to stay where it’s put. This unique characteristic is a result of the material used which is Polybutylene (PB). PB has very different properties to material used in other products on the market which is Cross-linked Polyethylene (PEX). PEX pipe is relatively stiff and when taken from the coil retains a ‘spring’ like quality, which can make it difficult to work with, particularly on long runs and when cabling through joists or floors.

Wavin Push-fit Hep2O meets the requirements of Class S of BS 7291, parts 1 and 2 and is manufactured within a Quality Management System which satisfies EN ISO 9002. It is also approved by WRAS – deemed safe for use in the supply of drinking water.
