SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF SOCIAL HOUSING AT SOLDIERS BENCH, CARNEW, CO.WICKLOW
ABM are delighted to announce the delivery and handover of 30 no. Social dwellings on a site at Soldiers Bench, Carnew, Co Wicklow under the Accelerated Design and Build Social Housing programme for Wicklow County Council.
The ABM Team have been proactively working on this over the last number of weeks as it was deemed an essential service, ensuring that all Covid19 Health and Safety Measures were put in place and successfully adhered to.
The housing development comprises of quality living accommodation for families in the form of three-bedroom, 5-person, 2 storey terraced houses, two-bedroom, 4-person, 2 storey terraced houses, and one bedroom 2 person bungalows, which will sit comfortably in context with the surrounding existing housing.
The accelerated build method consisted of a structural frame comprising panelised light gauge steel frames (LGSF) with integrated insulated wall panels built off site and delivered flat packed to the site for completion and delivery in a very short time period.
In addition, the Housing has achieved an A2 rating using triple glazed, low conductivity, well insulated windows and door, air-tight membranes and are built to a very high standard, meeting the requirements of Wicklow County Council.
