PM GROUP APPOINTS ANTHONY O’ROURKE AS CEO DESIGNATE

International project delivery specialists PM Group today announces the appointment of Anthony O’Rourke as Chief Executive Officer Designate. Anthony will succeed current CEO Dave Murphy, when he retires from PM Group in December 2023.

Anthony is currently Operations Director for Ireland, UK, Europe and joined the Board of PM Group as an Executive Director in 2018. He will commence his new role as PM Group CEO on 1 January 2024.

A Chemical Engineer by background, Anthony joined PM Group in 1994 and has held a number of senior management positions. He is a business leader with an excellent track record in organisational change and building high performance teams. Since taking over responsibility as Operations Director, he established new operations in Switzerland and Germany and integrated acquisitions in Belgium and the UK. He is a champion of PM Group’s culture, values and employee ownership model.

He has led the development of the organisation since 2011 from a turnover of €180m to over €600m and the company has more than doubled in size to over 3,500 people in that time. The changes he has overseen ensure PM Group is well positioned for continued success.”

Dave Murphy, CEO of PM Group, said, “Having worked across so many areas of the business since I joined 34 years ago, and as CEO for the past 12 years, PM Group has been a huge part of my career. I have been fortunate to work with so many great people and to have participated in what I believe is a unique company with a unique culture. Our business continues to develop and expand in existing and new markets and I am confident that the next 50 years will be even better than the first 50. I’m very pleased that Anthony has been selected to succeed me and look forward to working closely with him to ensure a successful transition to his leadership by the end of this year.
