MH International Strengthens Irish Growth with James O’Brien Sales Manager Appointment
MH International has strengthened its commitment to the Irish construction sector with the appointment of James O’Brien as Sales Manager, following the opening of its dedicated Portlaoise depot earlier this year. The move forms part of the company’s continued expansion across Ireland.
MH International, the global temporary works supplier, has expanded the sales team at its new Portlaoise depot with the appointment of James O’Brien as Sales Manager. James brings over 15 years’ experience within Ireland’s temporary works industry, including for some of the country’s leading civil engineering and construction contractors.
The appointment follows MH International’s investment in a dedicated depot in Portlaoise, strengthening the company’s ability to support customers across Ireland with temporary works solutions.
Joining MH International, James O’Brien brings over 15 years of sales experience, including providing technical support and practical guidance on temporary works solutions across major infrastructure and construction projects. In his new role, James will be responsible for growing MH International’s market presence across Ireland and building new business relationships, in addition to delivering product training, technical presentations and on-site support.

Speaking about his new role, James said: “Having spent many years working with contractors across Ireland, I am excited to use those relationships and my industry experience to help grow the MH International brand and support customers with market-leading monitoring, shoring, bridging and temporary works solutions. For me, the emphasis is on building long-term partnerships and providing practical solutions and excellent customer service, rather than simply supplying equipment.
“Already, MH International has a strong reputation for innovation, quality, and customer support, having established itself as a market leader across the UK and Europe. Joining the business at an exciting stage of its growth in Ireland is a fantastic opportunity!”
Wayne Fisher, International Business Development Director at MH International, added: “I’m delighted to be welcoming James to our sales team, part of the continued commitment to supporting Ireland’s construction and infrastructure sectors. The opening of the dedicated depot earlier in 2026 marked the start of a new chapter and I’m looking forward to seeing how expanding the sales team will push this further still, enabling us to roll out our end-to-end service offering to even more customers.”
With a focus on engineering and service excellence, MH International provides engineered, bespoke temporary works solutions across the civil infrastructure, residential, commercial, health and technology sectors on a global basis.
