GEORGE QUINN LTD – EASTMOUNT TO BELLEVUE WITH  D/RES PROPERTIES

Over time George Quinn Ltd have, through design and using the latest CAD software, developed unique stair parts for a market which is constantly seeking innovation and new ideas to enhance modern home design in Ireland.
D/RES Properties are Irelands leading sustainable private house builder.

Standing proudly behind 50 years of Durkan family building heritage. D/RES has continued the tradition of delivering quality homes coupled with pioneering design and are on a mission to realise remarkable homes by creating sustainable, inclusive, and empowered communities.

D/RES work in partnership with the best in the business to deliver thoughtful, future-proofed homes that anticipate and surpass residents’ needs. With this ethos in mind, they selected the design for their stair parts in their exclusive Eastmount Development from the best in the stair parts business, George Quinn Ltd, a company of similar heritage and experience manufacturing and supplying quality stair parts to the joinery industry.

Aideen Leahy, Creative Design Director at D/RES explains “when designing the interior for our ‘Eastmount’ development in Delgany we wanted to enhance the design detailing of the staircase in order to compliment the overall design concept of the homes. We were looking for a unique spindle that would create a statement staircase to embody the gold standard finish and attention to detail required in a D/RES home.

GEORGE QUINN

Aideen continues “we were offered various options which did not meet with our expectations. While consulting with Colin Jennings from Studio DSQ, our Interiors Architects, we were introduced to the Vienna Collection by George Quinn Ltd which matched our contemporary and considered design approach.

The Vienna Collection stands out from other spindle designs with its soft concave lines and a modern yet subtle shape. Using CAD software, the newel post detail was amended slightly to put the D/Res stamp on the design. The spindles and newel posts were finished in white and complimented with a white oak handrail in line with the latest interior design trends. The finished look created an entrance hallway with the wow factor and reflected the design philosophy of creating an overall positive living experience.

“Such was the success of the Vienna Collection in Eastmount that we have specified it in our exclusive Bellevue Development” states Aideen. “We pride ourselves on collaborating with forward thinking companies who share our desire for innovation and perfection and look forward to working with George Quinn ltd into the future”.
