CRICKET IRELAND AND EVARA ANNOUNCE MULTI-YEAR SPONSORSHIP FOR WOMEN’S CRICKET

CRICKET IRELAND AND EVARA ANNOUNCE MULTI-YEAR SPONSORSHIP FOR WOMEN’S CRICKET

Cricket Ireland has announced a new multi-year sponsorship deal with Evara, Ireland’s largest privately-owned homebuilder, in a major boost for women’s cricket in Ireland and club-level competitions nationwide.

As part of the partnership, Evara becomes the lead sponsor of the Ireland Women’s Senior and Under-19 cricket teams, including playing shirt sponsorship.

Major Investment in Women’s Cricket and Club Competitions

The agreement also sees Evara named as the title partner of Cricket Ireland’s All-Ireland Club Cup competitions, including:

  • Evara Irish Senior Cup
  • Evara National Cup
  • Evara All-Ireland T20 Club Cup (men’s and women’s)

This sponsorship will help strengthen both elite women’s cricket and grassroots club cricket across Ireland.

Ireland Women’s Cricket Team Set for Busy International Schedule

The announcement comes as the Ireland Women’s Senior team prepares for a high-profile summer of international fixtures, including matches against:

  • West Indies
  • Pakistan
  • England

The team will also compete in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in June, providing a global platform for Irish women’s cricket.

Community Engagement and Grassroots Development

A key element of the partnership is a shared focus on community engagement and growing participation in cricket across Ireland.

Evara will support:

  • Community-based initiatives and events
  • Video storytelling and digital content
  • Coverage of club cup finals
  • Fan engagement opportunities with Ireland Women players

This approach aims to increase visibility and inspire the next generation of female cricketers in Ireland.

Evara’s Investment in Housing and Communities in Ireland

Evara has already delivered more than 3,000 homes in the Greater Dublin Area and is targeting an annual output of 1,500 homes.

Backed by TPG, the company is investing €2 billion to deliver over 7,000 new homes across Ireland in the next five years.

Evara focuses on building sustainable, well-connected communities, often incorporating parks, sports facilities, and recreational spaces to support active lifestyles.

Supporting Cricket Growth in Local Communities

Cricket continues to grow in popularity in areas where Evara is developing new communities, particularly in Adamstown, one of Ireland’s fastest-growing suburbs.

Evara has an established relationship with Adamstown Cricket Club, now the largest cricket club in Ireland, with eight adult teams and twelve youth teams.

Leadership Comments on the Partnership

Sarah Keane, CEO of Cricket Ireland, said:

“The Ireland Women’s team continues to grow as a competitive force in international cricket and serves as an inspiration for young players across Ireland. We are delighted to welcome Evara as our new main sponsor, particularly given our shared focus on community and growing participation in the sport.”

Michael Hynes added:

“We are proud to support Ireland’s women’s cricket teams as they continue to succeed on the international stage. This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting inclusive sport and strengthening communities, both through housing and grassroots initiatives.”

Strengthening the Future of Women’s Cricket in Ireland

This partnership represents a significant step forward in the development of women’s sport in Ireland, supporting both high-performance teams and grassroots participation.

By combining investment in sport with community-focused initiatives, Cricket Ireland and Evara aim to grow the game and inspire future generations.
