IT’S PROOFEX O’CLOCK | TIME-SAVING
WATERPROOF RENDER

What saves time and buys time, at the same time? Watertight protection in just two coats. Proofex Waterproof Render is your go-to for rapid, durable waterproofing that bonds strong and lasts long.

Fosroc UK and Ireland are delighted to introduce the new Proofex Waterproof Render! As part of Fosroc’s Proofex range, it has been developed from a family of proven high-performance waterproofing products and is fully compatible with Renderoc mortars and Dekguard coatings. Requiring just two coats instead of three and with twice the shelf life, application of the Proofex Waterproof Render is faster and storage more flexible than the leading alternative brand.

FAST: Only two coats required of this single component product
CONSISTENT: Good handling characteristics
LONG-LASTING: 12-month shelf life, Warranties available
COMPATIBLE: Excellent thermal compatibility with concrete, compatible with Renderoc mortars & Dekguard coatings
STRONG: Resistant to hydrostatic back pressure, excellent bond to concrete and masonry

What is it made from?
Proofex Waterproof Render is a ready-to-use blend of dry powders. On site, only a small amount of clean water is needed to produce a highly consistent cementitious render. The material is based on a blend of cements, graded aggregates, special fillers, and chemical additives to provide a material with good handling characteristics, while minimising water demand. It contains no chloride admixtures, reducing impact on the environment.

What is it used for?
It is a ‘Type A’ internal waterproofing solution for new and existing below-ground structures, ideal for the refurbishment of lift pits, basement areas and tunnels. It can be used to support a ‘Type C’ waterproofing solution where the basement or wine cellars of large houses are being repurposed – for example, a cinema room. The render should be applied over Proofex WR Primer mixed with anti-slip grains/sand. The Proofex WR Primer can be used directly on brickwork, blockwork, concrete and most types of masonry prior to the application of the Render, or to provide a surface suitable for the application of Proofex 3000/3000MR.

Is it suitable for my project?
Proofex Waterproof Render conforms to BS8102:2022, BS EN 1504 and Class R2/BS EN 998-1, making it suitable for most refurbishment projects. It is a pre-bagged, one component product, and has excellent thermal compatibility with concrete, resistance to hydrostatic back pressure, and a strong bond to concrete and masonry. It has extremely low permeability to water, carbon dioxide and chlorides, and in conjunction with water and gas resistant membranes, offers excellent protection.
