CHADWICKS UNVEILS ITS FIRST ECO CENTRE AS PART OF NEWLY REVAMPED GALWAY BRANCH
Chadwicks Galway is a one-stop shop for everything you need to get the job done
Chadwicks, Ireland’s leading builders’ merchants, today officially announced the launch of the first Chadwicks ECO Centre at its Galway branch on Wellpark Road.
The Chadwicks ECO Centre is a one-stop shop for green projects of any size, providing the very latest in renewable products for everything from deep retrofits to new builds. The launch of the first ECO Centre forms part of a nationwide roll-out that will see three dedicated sustainable centres at Chadwicks branches across Ireland in the coming six months.
To coincide with the launch of the ECO Centre, Chadwicks Galway also reopened its doors today following a complete refresh of the branch. The latest refurbishment is part of the ongoing nationwide branch refresh by Chadwicks Group which commenced in 2018. Chadwicks Galway is the 24th branch to have undergone a complete revamp.
As part of its commitment to a more sustainable future, Chadwicks Galway has introduced 100% recyclable and biodegradable signage across the branch. Customers of Chadwicks Galway will also be greeted by a new dedicated wild garden located at the front of the branch, that the team has created with the intention of supporting local biodiversity.
Eco Building Merchant
The Chadwicks ECO Centre has trained sustainability advisors who are on hand to provide expert advice on the latest sustainable building products including insulation and airtightness solutions, ventilation systems, heat pumps and controls, solar energy, and water-saving products.
As members of the Irish Green Building Council, Chadwicks aims to support customers in reducing their environmental impact with sustainable building solutions. Using eco-friendly materials such as insulation and ventilation systems, the ECO Centre shows customers how to increase energy efficiency and achieve a high BER (building energy rating) for both new builds and existing properties.
Demonstrating the latest building technology, the ECO Centre also highlights how customers can achieve a ‘Nearly Zero Energy Building’ (nZEB) rating, which results in low energy costs and carbon emissions without compromising on comfort and warmth.
A Quick Fix
New to Chadwicks Galway is the Fixing Centre, a store within a store concept which aims to provide builders, engineers, and specialist tradespeople with all the tools and materials they may need in one convenient location. The Fixing Centre offers a host of fixing materials which includes chemical anchors, concrete anchors, nuts, bolts, nails, and fixings, perfectly suited for any trade job. As well as having a substantial range in stock, customers can also order specialised fixings through the dedicated team of fixing and tool specialists.
A wide range of power tools are also available at the Fixing Centre – from entry-level models to top of the range carpentry tools. The new store will also offer the latest cordless freehand tools, complete with a registry system to ensure tools are kept safe from theft.
Unrivalled product range
Chadwicks Galway also features brand-new kitchen ranges in the Panelling Centre showroom. Catering to a variety of different tastes and styles, the skilled team of design experts are on hand to advise on the latest trends and to help customers turn any kitchen into a functional, yet stylish interior space.
Customers can also peruse the latest showrooms in Doors and Floors featuring brand new product lines and product innovations, such as the cavity door system from leading architectural hardware brand Proline.
Other new additions to the Galway branch include new bathroom ranges and expanded ranges of paint and hardware. A newly introduced electrical range is also available to browse at the Galway branch which offers a wide range of decorative electrical finishes, smart sockets, USB plugs and more.
