Atkins was recently named Engineering Practice of the Year at the Irish Building and Design Awards, which took place in Dublin on 29 November. The awards recognise the accomplishments of professionals from the world of architecture, engineering, construction and design over the last 12 months.

Justin Norman, Managing Director, Ireland said: “I was very proud to collect the Engineering Practice of the Year award on behalf of our brilliant team. It marks a great end to a brilliant year which has seen us deliver an impressive range of projects for many clients throughout Ireland and showcases our diverse and truly multidisciplinary engineering capability.”

Atkins has continued to grow during 2019 and has welcomed many new colleagues to support our client work. It has recently opened a new office in Dundalk and also expanded our office in Galway to accommodate the expanding team.

Atkins in Ireland has been working on many interesting and stimulating projects across different markets this year. These include critical national infrastructure schemes that connect cities and rural communities such as the M7 Motorway Widening, the N25 Waterford to Glenmore and the Ireland West Airport Knock Runway Rehabilitation; protecting national assets on projects such as the Dublin Port Primary Border Inspection facilities and the National Motorway Maintenance; and multidiscipline contracts such as the Ryanair Office Campus Development – Airside Green, where we’re delivering architecture; civil and structural engineering; mechanical and electrical engineering; fire, traffic and environmental engineering; project management; health and safety; and cost consultancy.
