AERECO TO PARTNER WITH IRISH GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL FOR BETTER INDOOR AIR QUALITY

Manufacturer of Demand Controlled Ventilation Aereco has announced a new partnership with the Irish Green Building Council to promote healthier and greener buildings. Europeans spend on average 90% of their time indoors, inside buildings where pollutant levels can be 2 to 5 times higher than those found outside. While studies have long shown the impact of indoor air quality on health and productivity, the global pandemic has led to a renewed interest in this topic. It has showed that indoor air quality is of critical importance and cannot be taken for granted.

The Home Performance Index (HPI) is Ireland’s first national certification system for quality and sustainable residential development. It demonstrates that the home has been designed and constructed with care to enhance the health and wellbeing of the occupants, ensure low running costs and minimise environmental impacts. The Home Performance Index puts considerable emphasis on the importance of ensuring good indoor air quality.
